BIG BLAST WAS A BLAST!
The Thomasville Jaycees annual Big Blast was held on Saturday February 15th. About 120+ people were on hand as prizes were given away and everyone danced into the night. The project was a huge success thanks to project chairperson Cassandra Loeffler and all who helped her. The Grande prize of $4,000 was split by L.C. Beck and Danny Ward. The Thomasville Jaycees would like to thank everyone who came out and supported us and we hope to see you all back for our next Big Blast.
Membership
The Jaycees would like to welcome our newest members to our group. In the month of January Ani Pierce joined and in
February Susan Freeman joined to make our total number 23 members. We again would like to thank them for making
the commitment to serve along with us in our community.
Jaycee of the Month
Jaycee of the Month for January was awarded to Jerry Hughes. Jerry has been a huge help in several areas in this New Year. Hosting a very successful Super Bowl party and performing countless other duties for the club. Also, I would be remiss without giving an honorable mention to Paxton Arthurs for all of the hard work he has done in the month of January. Thanks to both of you.

e will be planning a trip to the Boys and Girls Home of North Carolina on April 12th. On certain months the Home would like for Jaycee chapters to collect different items and send them to the kids. For the month of April the items are sporting goods. Since we will going there on the 12th, it would be nice to be able to take those things with us. So during the next few meetings please remember to bring sporting goods, i.e.: baseballs, bats and gloves, tennis rackets, Frisbees and any others that you can think of (they say they have plenty of basketballs). Let’s help make these kids summer a little bit better by supplying them with some gear to play with and some friendship by taking these items to them in person.
