bulletWhat is the Empty Stocking Fund?

Through donations and a roadblock  we raise money to assist local families in need at Christmas. In order to help approximately 45 area families with  aprox.140 children, our goal this year is set at $7,500. One hundred percent of every donation goes directly towards the purchase of clothes, food and toys. We personally purchase the gifts from local retailers and deliver them on the morning of Christmas Eve.

bulletHow do I make a donation?

Send your tax deductible check to Empty Stocking Fund, P.O. Box 323, Thomasville, NC 27361. Any donations received after shopping day (Dec. 21) will be credited to next years fund.

bulletHow do I request assistance?

Drop by the Salvation Army office at 10 Pine Street in Thomasville and fill out an application. They will need the street address, children's ages, clothing sizes and reasonable toy wishes. There are several organizations in this area providing aid. The Salvation Army will forward the name to the appropriate organization. The Thomasville Jaycees in appreciation  will work the Salvation Army bells at Wal-Mart.

bulletWho do I contact in the Jaycees concerning this project?

Paxton Arthurs  is the project chairman.
